I was offered a Supervisor position at work. Wut do?

As many of you know, I’ve been in D2D sales for about a year and a half now. I’ve consistently been a top seller, which is why they’re offering me a promotion. Current salary is $41k, I made 100k my first year with salary + commission. I work about 40 hours a week and one Saturday a month in my current role.

They recently encouraged me to apply for a supervisor role. I interviewed last week and got an offer letter today. I’m supposed to start Friday. Supervisor salary is $71,500. I’ll get 15k guaranteed commission over the first four months. Target commission earnings are $52,800. So total with salary would be $124,300 if my team hits their sales targets.

In the Supervisor position I would probably be working about 45-50 hours a week and two Saturdays a month. I would have 10 reps selling under me. 40% of my day would be office work, 60% would be time in the field with my reps.

I have no leadership experience and I’m 25 years old. However, I’m very adaptable and a fast learner, so I think I could get the hang of it quick. I think some people might not like having a boss younger than them. Although i’m cool with everyone so I don’t think it’s a big deal.

I feel like I would be stupid not to take it, even though the hours are longer and the earning potential isn’t that much higher. The biggest perk would be not having to knock doors anymore besides with my reps. And I think it would be worth it for the leadership experience alone.

Any miscers here with experience in a leadership role? Any tips would be appreciated.
