I would feel less worthless being a NEET than continuing to be wage slave (SRS)

A fundamental lack of purpose is the root of my problems.

It may sound contradictory, but I actually feel like more of a worthless waste of space going to work everyday than I would staying at home. The reason being, I spend at minimum 50 hours a week just going through the motions over and over again. My job contributes nothing to society. There is absolutely nothing valuable about the work I am doing, nothing exciting or innovative, it makes zero difference in this world. I just sit here wasting away my talents and intelligence (what little I have) to keep 0.5% of the finance department running for a corporation in an industry I don’t give a single chit about.

If I were a NEET, I would actually have an opportunity for self improvement, physical and mental. I could seek fulfillment and live every day to the fullest, using my finite time towards things that matter. I could fuking touch grass. That’s exactly what I did during the Covid lockdowns while everyone else was drinking themselves to sleep and blowing their stimulus money on Doordash like impulsive retards.

I’m not cut out for this life brahs, but I have no other options but to waste mine until I can retire. I wish I knew how to make money another way.

Only goes for like 99% of Americans who don't want to live in their parents basement

The fact that you don't want to work some bs job isn't unique to just you man ...that's called life.
