We all know this already, but damn...

Local dentist had a big sign out front, first visit cleaning and xray is $75. So I made an appointment and visited, used my insurance. At the office they told me no charge. Later I get a bill for $129. I looked it up, and my insurance already paid them $181. So if I had paid cash, they would want me to pay $75, and they would get $75, but because I used insurance they want to make $310 ($181 from insurance, $129 from me). Fukking nuts. I politely dressed down the billing clerk at the office about this practice who is going to "talk to her manager" to get the $129 waived.

So fukking frustrating how chitty our healthcare billing and insurance system is.
