Best folding knife I've ever owned.

I've actually carried a couple of knives throughout the years. Some really cheap and some pretty expensive. And despite all of that, the blade I carried the most was the small Swiss Army Knife I had on my key chain. I just don't like carrying extra weight.

But the Benchmade Bugout is my new favorite folding knife. It's light. Slim. I basically forget it when I'm carrying it. Fantastic knife. I'm not a tradie so I have no use for anything more. But just in case I need something a little more than the SAK, then at least I have this. It has a great locking mechanism on it which makes it easy to open and close. Video has the blue handle version but I got the green handle with the grey blade. About 170 bucks.

That ZT looks like a beast. I had the designer's other knife, the XM, years ago. CRKT knives are pretty cool with all their unique designs and mechanisms.

Got the same Bugout with the carbon fiber black handle. Need to send it in so they can sharpen it properly.

I've been wanting to get a super thin and small knife for carrying for safety. I just don't want to pack a gun, so a knife would be better than nothing. Is this good for that? Where do you carry it on you, like in a pocket?

I never think of knives as a self defense weapon. They're tools. But I guess it's better than nothing. The reason I like it is that it's really slim and light so it's convenient to carry in my pocket.
