Changed the battery in my MacBook Pro by my self.

The original battery was retarded and the macbook would turn off as soon as it was unplugged - it was at over 1000 charge cycles.

Decided to order a battery and replace it myself - opened the back and the battery inside was ballooning in some segments.

Took it out and put the new one in and I've been using the macbook without charger attached for the first time in a long time.

The laptop lasts like 4 hours without charging now, which is excellent IMO, considering that it's 6 years old and the new OS updates, etc, must use more energy.
