Woke up to 2 parts of my butt sore

one on the top of the buttocks and the other on the side. the one on the side stings. what could have caused this? could it be from just sitting down for long periods?

sounds like a Pilonidal cyst. My dad had it about 10 years ago. ingrown hair gets trapped under the skin, can potentially cause infection if not treated.
