Anybody here used to care about what people thought of them then changed?

I used to be obsessed with what people thought of me - that I was tough, athletic, good looking, cool, smart, real, etc. Now I couldn't care less.

I would have to think about what I would say before saying it, etc.

It did work in some sense like being attractive to girls and having them fawn over me, but it's no way to live life.

Worst part is all my friends were the same and they were super toxic and caused me heaps of emotional trauma.
