Just watched two horror movies that have a lot of hype at the moment.

Longlegs and Oddity. And while I liked them both, goddamn are they both overrated as hell. Yes, they're both films that will keep your attention and entertain. But they are not classics. And yet some of the stuff I'm hearing about them are trying to label one or the other as "Scariest film of the decade! Squirt! Squirt!"

Yeah, no. But I guess it's because the standard is kind of low these days because horror films in general are so bad.

Watch a Korean horror film like Exhuma or an Argentinian horror film like When Evil Lurks. Both better horror films that came out in the past year.

I liked Oddity more. It's about a couple who invites a woman to their house. Sh!t starts to get weird from there. Don't want to say too much.

Spoiler!
I liked Oddity more. And it has good creepy moments and scares. But overall, just way too much hype. I liked how they spun back to bell in the ending. But I do think they could have handled the reveal a little better. Maybe not actually show the bell boy that much?

I mean, I left the theatre smiling after Oddity ending. I think they meant it to be humorous

I just wish it was scary rather than humorous. The tension they built up before was awesome.
