Miscers who've had their appendix removed, recovery time?

Laparascopic surgery, if I had a holiday booked for 2 days after what are the chances I'll be well enough to go?

I know someone who recently had this and they were off work for 2-3 weeks. They said eating was still painful after 3 weeks.

The thing that surprised me was he had 3 scars rather than the 1 I was expecting.
