Maybe going to have to move out for 3+ months.

Discovered mold in our downstairs bathroom. Had someone come out. Entire wall and baseboards are filled with it in multiple rooms. Mitigation 8-12 weeks and possibly more. Idk if everyone has this and they are full of crap or if I should be concerned.

I've had mold mitigation done, it only took like 2 weeks. Get a second and third opinion.

holu fuk. thats like 2 inches of water.that would cost a lot of fuking money to be done right. i got money from my insurance company cause i got drunk and left the facet on im my bathroom and it leaked through the ceiling. i can get it done myself if i had had tools for less than 1k. but because im fuked it will be probably 3.5k to kill the mold and replace the ceiling.if only i had another pair of hands

I am a life long mold denier. Never believed it was dangerous. if you can clean it with just some bleach, it cant be this terrible thing they say it is.

Same with asbestos. They say its super deadly but they had to mine it from someplace at some point in the past when they probably had no safety equipment other that a bandana wrapped around their face if that.

I have never heard of someone dying from it or even getting sick. think about it, we should all have some grandparents that had asbestos lungior whatever the hell it is but I bet not a single person knows someone who had it.
