Anyone find it odd how so many ppl call Americans ignorant/racist/xenophobic when...

USA is 40% nonwhite (https://www.kff.org/key-data-on-heal...-and-ethnicity). I see more non-whites and Jews than I see whites where I live. I see a few Asians and Arabs sometimes as well. 15% of Americans are foreign born. The USA easily takes in more non-European immigrants than any nation on planet earth and more than the entire Europe, Japan and South Korea combined.

Even among the white population-many are foreign born (mostly from Russia and Ukraine) or married to a non-white or foreign born person.

Of course, i'm not saying that this is a good thing(its not in my view), but I find it off that so many call Europeans call Americans xenophobic, ignorant and racist when the USA is as diverse as it is though? Wouldn't you expect an ignorant, racist, closed mind nation to have less diversity and foreign-born ppl, and maybe look more like Poland, Japan, South Korea, Italy etc.?
