Got a pinched sciatic nerve!
I've had this for a week and don't know where I got it. Usually in the past, they occur because I golf too much, but I literally haven't practiced in a month. Been pulling 12 hour days at work (srs).
Anyway, I can't put any weight on my left foot, and I limp around like I'm 80 years old. Stretching doesn't help, ice doesn't help, ibuprofen helps a bit, warm baths help a lot.
I have a golf round booked for next weekend, and a work league softball game on Wednesday, so I'd really like to un-fukk my leg before then. Have you guys dealt with this before, and do you have any advice?

Get in the gym. Serious.
Your life is asymmetrical, which is causing the issues.
You sit at a desk and between your monitor, keyboard and mouse, you twist slightly towards the side with your mouse.
You then play golf.
Tightness and muscle imbalances are causing your hips to sit in an asymmetrical position, which is applying pressure to the nerve.
Get your ass in the gym. You don't need to know a lot, as you don't have to deadlift or squat, you just need to find the 45 degree leg press.
Take a wide stance and bring the sled as low as you can without your lower back starting to round.
Use the leg press 2 or 3 times a week.
Your hips will start to strengthen symmetrically and realign.

Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.
They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

Use a hot water bottle on your lower back, backside & just below. Make sure you sit up as straight as possible.

Try some of these exercises. This is a great channel that offers sciatica relief exercises.
