Why are people such a**holes these days?

In my own personal experience I can recount two recent events where I find it highly annoying to go anywhere in public anymore.

A few months back I went to the grocery store and I was in the salad dressing section comparing the prices of two different items, as I was looking back and forth between both items which were on different shelves some black dude walked by me and in highly frustrated tone of voice was saying "Don't worry about me, worry bout yourself and what you're doing, don't be looking at me" something to that effect anyway. Mind you at no point did I even look at this person or make eye contact at all, to be honest at first I was confused and then eventually realized he was talking to me. I didn't even humor this person with any kind of response cause I knew anything I would've said would have just made the person more confrontational.

Secondly yesterday I went to a sandwich shop to pickup dinner, when I arrived it seemed fairly busy inside the business so I waited outside for some of the foot traffic to clear out. The glass double doors to the store are heavily tinted so you can't see inside when walking into store. As I reached for the door some white dude opened the door and walked out in front of me, I waited maybe a half second and walked behind him inside as the door was closing, then I heard him in a very condescending tone of voice behind say "You're welcome" like yea right you weren't holding the door open for me I walked in as you were walking out as if this guy was trying to take some moral high ground. Like if you're gonna act like that you don't deserve any sort of thanks.

On the internet I also see countless videos on beaches, trains, and numerous other places where people bicker and even fight under the most tiny of inconveniences, IDK if it has always been a thing or if this modern day culture is to blame but I find that it's getting increasingly annoying to be in any public setting cause people always seem to have hostility for their fellow citizens brimming under their skin. What is causing this?

TLDR: People in 2024 are acting like jerks for no reason, and overly hostile and easily offended.

People in America are realizing diversity is not our greatest strength like they try to brain wash people into believing. Everyones irritated and tired of this experiment.

It will fail before 2030. America will become 3rd world.

Most people are pretty nice nowadays. I'd say probably nicer then ever.

But this is also an environment where the azzhole types can really get maximum benefit from their tricks. So you have to be very diligent about removing these people from your life.

Well I live in Las Vegas so there tends to be a pretty high concentration of racist, bigoted, and selfish people here.

People have gotten to the point of completely giving up their freedom and acting as though they are victims with no hope. This makes them annoyed, justified, selfish and unstable. You think people give af about treating people nice when they hate their lives?

Everyone is broke, medicated, and teetering on the edge. Half of them are illegals or inner city dwellers who have been told their whole life that they are “owed” something because the color of their skin. And that it’s that “white guy over there’s” fault. Meanwhile, the entitlement payouts and taxes are strangling what’s left of the working class. About 10 percent of working people are rich, the other 90 percent are living paycheck to paycheck and even still they’re about to be underwater.

This country is a powder keg, and the fuse is getting shorter and shorter every day.

Not sure ive noticed it

I guess you got extreme softness from men.. but then i do think people are highly indvidualistic. So its almost like an extension of women

And my guess is 99% of people have their own little internet bubbles

I would bet restaurant dining (excluding delivery apps), bars, clubs, shopping plazas, movie theaters, theaters, concerts, shows have all taken hits

Guarantee its less than it used to be

Real life isnt as important cause they have all these lil clans and chit on the internet. Srs

People aren't spending time around other people as much so they're out of practice

Plus a lot of time is spent online where the interactions are different - you can't read someone's face or body language so you're practicing bad habits when you get into the real world.

Plus everyone's been stressed since March 2020 first with the virus and then inflation

Finally customer service is basically dead in this country except for a few small bastions like Chik-Fil-A or AMEX Platinum. Most customer service positions these days are run with a skeleton crew. Having to spend an hour at the counter waiting for your airline baggage to get checked or your order to be made gets old and makes people snap.

You don't have to worry about other people, let them do what they want, even if it looks strange.
At MyPaperWriter.com, I help students navigate the complexities of academic writing. I remember assisting a student who was overwhelmed by a particularly challenging research paper. We worked together to break down the topic, develop a strong thesis, and structure the arguments logically. Seeing the student's confidence grow as their paper took shape was incredibly rewarding. Moments like these remind me of the impact we have in helping students achieve their academic goals.

Hmmm idk I spent a lot of time on the internet yet I'm still fairly courteous and tend to give people benefit of the doubt way more than I should in IRL.

I can't agree. I don't think people are bigger a-holes, but they are different. They're more anxious and more distracted by things extremely removed from their own lives. This makes more people overall more clueless and reactionary about social interactions.

That's not even all that bad, partner. On any given day, I'll have events comparable to those. Folks have just become such dicks. They really have. Just a product of a declining culture I suppose.

A lot of people left NY and NJ over the last few years, so that might have something to do with it.
