That's a vague question. If you're asking about the macro economy it's too late to do much to make a difference. The Fed is stuck between a rock and a hard place with interest rates, so they have to lower slow. Hopefully they don't lower rates more than 50 basis points in total. They had their rates at or near zero for a dozen years. Just let the recession happen. It's a natural occurrence. If they lower by 100+ basis points they're helping in the short term but already creating the next recession.

I don't know much about economics and inflation.

pro tip- if you are showing up for these things, you are an idiot.

They arent hiring people, they are gathering valid personal information and selling it to the highest bidder.

Same with all the online job sites. linkedin, indeed and all that. Rarely does anyone get a job from those sites but 100% of people get a bunch of spam emails from them.

Linkedin can be valuable if you cultivate it well.

It's good for finding former colleagues working at the place you want to work. You can then ask them to refer you.

Also most places don't allow a picture of you on your resume because that could invite discrimination. But many of them allow you to put your LinkedIn URL on your resume, recruiters will look it up and see the picture of you showing you know how to dress and you're not obese or anything, plus you can fit all the stuff on there that didn't make it on your resume.

I got my current job through a LinkedIn posting. However yes a lot of other jobs I applied for I didn't get any sort of call back or even a rejection... then the recruiter sent me a friend request and wanted me to join in his employer's network so I can learn more about them. Huh.
