Day 11 sober. Barely noticing any health benefits.
When I went from 8-15 shots a night down to 2-3 shots a night, I felt major health benefits.
Going from 2-3 shots to 0 seems to have little to no health benefits
Should I just drink or do I need to go sober longer to feel the benefits?

Most of the issue with drinking is the hangover and inability to get in shape while drinking heavily.
Going from 3 shots per day to 0 really isn't changing much in this regard. You might be better off doing 2-3

I’m glad to see someone else say so, OP. Anytime I go from moderate drinking to sobriety, I notice fuk all benefits besides not being hungover for max 4 or 5 days per month.
I always cringe at the people who act like going from a few drinks to being a teetotaler made them feel 100x better. Placebo of piss…

The main point of not having alcohol every single day, sometimes going weeks at a time without it is to avoid cancer. And getting better sleep.
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!

You won't see benefits till you get blood results and compare before n after.
Take it from a guy who's doctor questioned if I had hepatitis after seeing my blood work.

idk brah I think only you can decide if its holding you back or not.
the problems with drinking are the sugar, if you drink high calorie drinks, if you eat more chit when you drink, and how it negatively affects your sleep/recovery. I can say with certainty it's the recovery that affects me the most, or the extra food cals. I don't eat like an azz when I drink, but I am not as consistent for sure.
The sleep fuks me though, and I drink vodka & sprite zero. no hangover usually either unless I go like half a bottle

I actually eat less when drinking. Many times I would just skip dinner and go to sleep right away. Also it helps me sleep actually. I can't quite get the same deep sleep I get after drinking

body ends up acclimating to the alcohol and the goalpost ends up moving from "just two shots" to "just 4 shots", etc

However, if I were in some situation where it benefitted me to have a few drinks 3-4 times per week, I'm sure it could happen.

The last 2 times I took a serious "sober for a month" challenge, I ended up going about 45 days srs. Just kept focusing on the good: no hangovers, no mistakes, saving money, less carbs and/or empty Calories, physique gains as a result, know it's avoiding a poison so yay.
The true balance is to only consider alcohol for planned social events / vacations. Not for your days off work (or especially days that you do work).

10 days aint gunna be chit.
I hear it takes a couple MONTHS for your brain to rewire itself, and health to change.
Like 3-4 months and youll not have the ups and downs and chit….
Give it a few more weeks
