Minute Cryptic: Is this a good puzzle or retarded?





I saw this pop up on YT. Can you solve this puzzle given the strange clue, before the answer is given?

Do you think this puzzle is good - in the sense of intelligent and well made - or is this guy a pretentious retard with a really autistic train of thought that no one else could follow?

Lmao yeah, I'm thinking the same thing - as if only the person who wrote the clue would be able to follow this disjointed train of thought. I think from "typeface" he gets font, and then "defaces" it to get "ont" which are the first three letters of the clue.
