Lost all desire to eat protein

I used to be able to easily get 200+g of protein from beef, eggs, Greek yogurt, milk, ect. Now for some reason the thought of eating any of that disgusts me. I basically have to force feed every meal. I think I could easily just stop eating entirely.

Lots of fats keep you fuller longer. Decreases appetite and keeps you satisfied so you probably wont have cravings until the evening. Thats the whole idea behind keto being good to curb cravings and suppress appetite.

Try starting off your day with carbs and protein 50/50 and then get into the heavy fat later in the day. That might help. Srs.

Several eggs and fatty ass bacon first thing in the morning always makes me feel not hungry around lunch.

True it could be that but I easily could have just skipped breakfast all together. I only ate that cause I felt like I needed to get some food in. Maybe this is just my body telling me to lose some weight.

Lol it's an odd problem for sure. But I'm 235lbs right now. I shouldn't feel full off of 1000 calories. Something seems wrong.

ok sorry. Do you supplement with shakes? That could help with you getting your protein.

A bandaid solution would be have multiple large protein shakes everyday, it isn't going to fix the problem and get you back to wanting whole food though.

I have some protein powder but haven't used it in weeks. I guess that would be easier to force down than actual food.

also yes take protein shakes with a couple packets of oatmeal and some fruits, tastes good

Every true bodybuilder has said the same thing. They hate eating and it’s bland garbage. Half the time they are always full. But they eat for performance not for taste.

If you want to make gains, eat the food. If you don’t want to eat, you won’t gain. Simple as that.

Make the decision.

I can't find it right now, but I remember Vince Gironda advocating for a more vegetarian based diet for a couple of weeks when the body doesn't want meat anymore.

Couple weeks with the veg, then back at it like new.

Sounds to me like your issue isn't so much just protein as opposed to you've lost your appetite. At 235lbs you are most likely fat. Unless you're just a big guy and are juice maxing. But I doubt that. I know a couple of guys that are peeled at that weight and they literally look like IFBB bodybuilders. I'm going to go ahead and assume you do not have a diced six pack at that weight. I say count your blessings. Get shredded as hell with the lessened appetite. You can probably stand to lose about 35-40lbs worth of fat. Its also healthier in the long run to be a bit lighter.



I know two guys that developed stomach/digestive issues in their 40s and they had to drastically reduce their protein because they were limited on what they could tolerate. TBH neither one of them lost much muscle mass. They just upped carbs and kept fat low. But two be fair I'm talking about two guys in their 40s that have been lifting for 20+ years. One natty/one enhanced. They already had solid physiques and capped out on muscle mass.

I could still probably eat fast food lol but I don't think that's wise.

I am on gear but I'm also a kinda fat. Probably could stand to lose 20lbs
