Brah im pretty sure ATR's ain't made by boeing

I've never seen a stall like that before, that jet is acting like a helicopter, wtf its literally go no forward mometum and just dropped out of the sky like a brick, is such a thing even possible?

Looking at the plane, there's no way a jet engine would ever crash like that. Clearly engine failure that they couldn't get out of.

It definitely didn't hit the ground that fast. The pilot tried to soften the blow as much as possible.



You can see in this video that the plane didn't even disintegrate. But if anybody did survive the impact, they definitely weren't surviving the burning jet fuel.

You can stall a jet plane into a dead drop just like a turboprop. Air France (also leaving Brazil) did it about 15 years ago. Pilot misread instruments and pulled up until it stalled. Probably something similar here, or pilot suicide and taking the plane with him.

The Air France flight(which I assume was the one which crashed over the Atlantic headed to Europe), was because of a Frozen Pitot Tube which fooled the autopilot and caused it to nosedive into the ocean after stalling when the pilot overcorrected. This crash was actually kind of similar to the 373 Max crashes as well, as they were the failure of Autopilot malfunction.

This was clearly some type of engine failure, and not necessarily a stall.

Not true. They are going 0mph inside the plane so if they stepped out at just the right moment before impact it would be like taking a step on a sidewalk.

yeah that is exactly the one I was talking about. I was just disagreeing that you can't stall a jet.

Fukn this. If I ever step foot on a plane again, it will be in full winter gear with on O2 tank, and a parachute seated next the to emergency exit.
