Early reactions to Alien: Romulus

Early screenings, so take this with a grain of salt. But the reaction seems positive

I don't like any of the directions aluen franchise took after Aliens.

Alien 3 was okay but only okay.

Aliens (the 2nd one) was so f*cking sick. They need to just stick with that model.

Ideally, to me, they do an Aliens prequel which shows the Aliens setting compound dur8ng it's downfall. Have 1 or 2 sick space marines there wrecking sh*t. Have newt running around in vents. Everything. Get it all in there. Everyone dies but newt.

they already did 2 prequels - Prometheus and Covenant. Covenant was a financial loss, so they scrapped plans for the third prequel.

I thought Prometheus was a masterpiece and thoroughly enjoyed Covenant. Will definitely see this one under the direction of Fede Alvarez. Dude makes visually stunning movies. I just am already annoyed with the gen z casting. Oh well.

Thoughts on dRummphh making that phone call to the widow of the victim shot by your comrade? You were seething angrily about his lack of phone call. Just wondering if you acknowledged he made it yet?

Prometheus was incredible. Fassbender is the Top G. It was one of the most visually stunning movies to watch in 4K, although you get that with most of Ridley Scott's films.

It's important for Ridley to do that final film connecting the dots from Covenant to Alien. The guy is 86 years old though and is always bouncing between new projects, so seems unlikely.

I'll probably watch it streaming but I was insanely disappointed with Covenant. I loved the new idea of the engineers in Prometheus but they fuked it up when they decided not to explore it any further.

Convenient this is your last post non Aliens related after you throw out the propaganda that I 'follow you around' leaving out the fact that I posted in this topic before you showed up lol.

Great lawyering with 'alternative' facts.

I agree about the engineers being a cool concept, and to me Covenant was a double fail. Not only did it suck, but it was the hope to make Prometheus make sense instead of just raising more questions. It totally jumped the shark on that too, ruining the hope I held for Prometheus.

Looks like they are going back to the roots and making it all about face huggers and killing everyone, which I'm all for.

When I saw the trailer with all the facehuggers breaking through the door it looked seriously badass.
