The Reef is the best shark movie next to Jaws

Can't believe I'm only just now seeing this thing. It's low budget and surprisingly simple. Just a group of people swimming and yet it's somehow surprisingly entertaining and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The sharks don't act like unrealistic ass holes either. I give Jaws the edge just because it's much more iconic but The Reef is easily the most realistic shark movie I've ever seen.

The real story it's based off is even creepier to read.

Its alright, and I understand why people give the movie points for being realistic, but it was kinda boring. Generally I prefer more audacious efforts when it comes to jaws rip-offs.

Sick of shark movies. It's the same old trope. Why not make a movie where the Shark is being hunted by humans and is trying to flee.
