LA is fuked with traffic and high crime.
Would not live there for anything. I live in San Diego, but if I had to live anywhere outside of my small town, I would move out of state.

San Diego. Better weather, doesn't have the same insane local politics, not as crowded.

Spent more time in LA than I have in San Diego, but I think SD gets the win from the overall feeling I had while driving/walking around there.

For me San Diego without a doubt. I lived in San Diego, and sometimes made trips to LA...I hated LA (especially the traffic). I would not want to live there.

I'm in University City and our traffic is slowly catching up to Los Angeles, especially with all the new luxury apartments being built. I'm from Northern California and there are actually a handful of cities i'd move to up there if I left San Diego (most of which are between Sacramento and the Oregon Border)

living in San Diego, its nice to have LA in close (about an hour and change) proximity, because there are a lot of amenities in LA that cannot be beat. So, if I HAVE to go up there, I can be in and out, but i'm not going up there to spend 2,3,4,7 days wandering around.

SD, I’m LA born and raised and watching Riley Hawk videos on CCS made SD look chill and laid back, my frequent visits match the expectations and I hope I get to land a job out there after college. LA is played out now

I visited San Diego. It's beautiful. Feels like a permanent vacation city, and perfect weather year round.

University City has some good and bad spots, some friends of mine use to live down there, but haven't been in awhile. My brother lives in Lake Tahoe which is pretty nice and we have a cabin in Big Bear..but can't do winters in those higher elevations.

Weren't you getting a motorcycle to combat the traffic? Did you decide against it? Use to work downtown San Diego when I was living in Rancho Bernardo and got a bike just for the traffic (always wanted one beside the fact). I now live in Fallbrook and both my wife and I own our own businesses up here (separately), everyday I'm thankful I do not have to deal with the freeways as I never have to leave our town. We'll go to La Jolla or Carlsbad sometimes just to eat, hit up a bar with friends but that's about it.
