Anybody else really liked Tom Hardy's Bane in The Dark Knight rises?
Everything he says is perfect and not in the way that Jesus says everything perfectly, but in the evil sort of way. So many great quotes.
I loved the movie when it came out, but as an adult who has seen some sh*t - who ever wrote this is brilliant.

[Batman uses an EMP device to cut the lights]

[grabs Batman from the shadows and continues to beat him]
Bane : The shadows betray you, because they belong to me!
[repeatedly punches Batman in the face, breaking his cowl]
Bane : I will show you where I have made my home while preparing to bring justice. Then I will break you.
[hits detonator, blowing a hole into the bottom of Wayne Enterprise]
Bane : Your precious armory, gratefully accepted! We will need it.
[Batman desperately stands and swings at Bane]
Bane : Ah, yes… I was wondering what would break first…
[lifts Batman high]
Bane : Your spirit, or your body?
[Lifts Batman by the neck]
Bane : And you betrayed us!

CIA Agent : You're a big guy!
Bane : For you.
CIA Agent : Was getting caught part of your plan?
Bane : Of course… Dr. Pavel refused our offer in favor of yours, we had to find out what he told you.

Hardy is a beast. He was awesome in Legend playing the kray twins. Hes also a BJJ brah so he scores extra points for that.

Also he's a good actor I agree, but I mean whoever wrote the actual Bane villain script is a genius and not the narrator of the script (hardy) - not sure if Tom thought of the epic one lines on the spot tbh.

yeah i liked him. the movie was just ok though. the acting in the large scene with the police and people fighting felt weird and stupid.

Anyway, back on topic - Bane is one of the best villains I've ever watched. Throughout the whole movie, he doubts himself not once and not once does he consider himself evil. He actually thinks he's good. I won't say that this is what makes a villain, but is sure does make a bloody good one, precisely because most evil people, know they're evil.

I think that movie is insanely overrated along with that whole franchise
The storytelling and scenery is good but it had the worst fight scenes in batman history. At the end of the day I wanna see batman whoop ass in batman fashion.
The warehouse scene with Ben Affleck is peak batman.
I also think Robert Pattinsons batman was better also.

It's a movie at the end of the day but I enjoy the symbolism it possesses - Bane is a unique villain, in that he apparently never doubts that he's in fact the good guy.
