Just listen to the songs. Their music was new in comparison to everything that came before. And everything that came after was different as a result of how much The Beatles changed music. On top of that, it was just some of the best songwriting ever done.They were also the biggest artistic act during a time when the entire society was changing and they knew it and fulfilled that role extremely well. Maybe this elevated them to an even higher status.

I can't believe all you Beatle haters. I love the movie, " A Hard Day's Night" 1964. The perfect cast and I was laughing out loud the whole time.
