Ukranians begging in Canada?

Not sure if this is Romanian gypsy scam or not but this slavic looking lady came and was asking for money. She had a kid with her, When she realized I don't have any cash it was like in an instant her face changed from looking helpless to looking I gotta go bother the next person now.

The good thing about European immigrants is that they aren't ugly AF and short like the Indians and Mexicans are. Even if they are poor, at least they look nice. Plus, their children will assimilate and become like the rest of the country.

I've seen them here and there. They came to Canada with nothing other than the clothes on their back and most are poor. Not sure what the game plan for them is

Sounds like a typical panhandler. They come in all shades. I see a migrant woman using her kids as props with the same sob story every day on the highway off-ramp.
