OP doesn't grasp that abortions aren't always a form of birth control. If a pregnancy is non viable and the fetus isn't going to survive, the woman will get an abortion. If the pregnancy becomes a major health risk to the mother and she could die, she'll get an abortion. Things like this happen on a regular basis unfortunately and these abortions count towards the total number. Women that want children have abortions for medical reasons. You also see situations like the 10 year old girl in Ohio who got raped by her uncle and became pregnant, she had an abortion.
