Kind of a no man's land.

Too far north to be part of "The South" & too far south to be like the Midwest.

Most of the population is around Louisville, Lexington and the area just south of Cincinnati.

Can have some insane weather with tornados, lightning storms, and ice storms.

Pretty much everything east of I-75 is similar to West Virginia.

Good state for outdoorsmen.

Mostly nice people, if pretty dumb.

Lots more touristy things there than you'd expect. Corvettes and caves to name a couple.

Depends what part tbh. Southeastern KY gets pretty back woods. My family has a remote cabin in an area that when you go to town you get hard stares. Absolutely no dingers though. Places like Louisville is your typical chit hole city with all the usual suspects. Srs, vry srs.

Sip on some local shine boyo and you'll be seeing squatches everywhere. Just watch out for those copper heads.

Perhaps, put they are not prevalent in any place I've ever spent any significant amount of time. Plus the hot and humid weather is a massive pain in the ass.

I made this thread because I know people who are retiring to the south...It was to be Florida, but they were priced out due to home insurance costs and now they are looking elsewhere.
