Why do I feel better at 5-6 hours sleep compared to 7-8

SRS

Everytime I have a full night sleep I wake up easily but feel like a total slug with a headache almost the whole day. Also could fall asleep again whenever I want.

Meanwhile when I have underslept, takes a bit more time to get out of bed but feel way more alert throughout the whole day. Don't feel sluggish, nor I feel the need to sleep at all.

Doesn't make sense. Is there some evolutionary survival instinct reason for that?

Like interrupted sleep = the brain thinks of it as a ''Man, you have underslept. There is something that stresses us. I will keep you awake so we can GTFO out of here to avoid whatever danger it is causing the stress''.

Meanwhile a lot of sleep = ''No worries, you can be a total slug all day. That is what you are made for though - to sleep, eat and breed. I will give you some slight energy later to blast some genes inside a poosay if you haven't done so in the past few days''. I also get way lazier for a few days after a session of plowing a chick, so no energy even for plowing if I have banged some thot.

Everyone’s sleep cycle is different. Go with what feels good.

Adrenaline. I had bad insomnia in high school. Some nights I would stay up until 4am when I had to wake up at 6am for school the next day. I remember feeling wired on those days. Oddly alert and energetic, but would always crash HARD by the end of the day. Sleeping 7-8 hours is more like sustained energy.

Quality > Quantity.

I can be fine on 4-5 hours if I take 2 shots of zyquill to fall asleep.

If I get any more, even if I fall asleep naturally, I always wake up in a bad mood. Or groggy.

Does that chit not leave you foggy the next day? Any time I hit sleeping pills or even OTC antihistamine based sleeping chit I'm cloudy the next morning.

OP if you sleep at the same time every night you'll slip into a routine. Im usually out for around 10 and wake up at 6:30am. Only time I need to set an alarm is if I'm drinking or something along those lines.

This is true and the older I get, the more I have to stick to my sleep schedule. I normally fall asleep around 11pm but on weekends I'll occasionally stay up until 1 or 2am. It doesn't matter if I get 8 hours on those nights, I ALWAYS feel like chit the next day.
