If I were to guess she is only with him because they are both young high school sweethearts, or he is telling her babe Im going to be a Pro gamer or be a Twitch star and we will be making money so she is going off his ambition.

I had a bummy friend like this who always had a chick and was bumming off a girl, he would tell her lies too saying imma get an inheritance, or he had money coming in, and then she would either dump him or he would bounce to another chick, he wasnt even good looking either he was short and fat with tattoos, but he knew the type of chicks to go after most were the white trash chicks you see at dirt bike rallies or native american casinos out here in Cali.

Yup. Only other scenario I could imagine is they live in literally bumfuk nowhere and her dating options are basically null, and neither of them, individually or combined, has any hope of moving away
