For you personally, do you prefer Elden Ring (or that style of game, with that style of loot. so there's loot, but it's not the same kinda feel as Diablo, PoE etc. I guess that's because there's no multiplayer? But there's nothing epic feeling like Windforce, Grandfather, Shako etc)

or do you prefer the Diablo style game and loot.

Maybe that's it, Elden Ring/Dark Souls/Witcher etc is focusing more on combat where as Diablo maybe focuses more on loot? Could be talking out my ass.

The Elden Ringstyle :

More exploration, loot matters less, less grinding, way harder and arguable more interesting combat

Diablostyle :

More grindy and loot centric, trading (multliplayer aspect), arguable more 'mindless'

I think it will be the new standard (after the goat Diablo 2). Which has the remaster and the mods (which are great), but I think POE2 will be 'it'

POE1 is very close, but clunky in movement which I hope they sort. Tbh even if they just sorted out that aspect aswell as crank the graphics etc I'd be pretty happy.

So anyways stupid me found a deal on marketplace for a XBOX X. Got it...too good to be true. HDMI port is messed up. I can get a picture to display but if the cable gets bumped there goes the screen. I kinda got a weird feeling about it now...almost like it's hot but that could be paranoia. I reset it to factory and logged in...even registered it on Microsoft. Wondering if it's worth it to pay 150 bucks to have a new hdmi port put it...or just get a series S from sams and trash this one.

I've looked up how to videos on replacing the port and taking it all apart doesn't bother me but I have never even used a sodder machine.

Used to be IGN I think wayyyyy back, but that was probably when I was looking up combo codes for Tony Hawk or walkthrough guides

What's the best site or source to find new games? Steam would be great if it had all games, because you can review, find/filter and buy games on it.

But yeah, I'm talking more of a resource with reviews and recommendations. Shame I only know 'mainstream' games in general, apart from hidden gems but I've already played them (Rise of Nations, Dungeon Keeper etc etc)

I think I learn better when I'm reading out loud, instead of just reading or listening to something. Im trying to learn C++ so i typed all the subtitles of the video below so i can speak it outloud, and i just wanted to share it.

There was already auto-generated subtitles on the video, but I prefer to read at my own pace, and not quickly read the subtitles.

It would be amazing to have a stimulating game that also teaches you history. Is this good?

Red Dead Redemption also seems good but for a very specific time period.

I'm guessing Civ games are the best for education & gaming?

You will be able to level a class to 70 in 2-3 hours with the exp nerfs coming. Good chance to level all your alts and classes up to 70

Just picked this up and absolutely loving it.



Everything here is top notch, combat, graphics, platforming, the progression and the metroidvania style level design.

Finally saw the gameplay demo properly.



I'm keen on it so far.


- The towns / environment's look pretty damn good as per usual AC games. In fact I'm really keen on getting into this world because that first city already looks so much better than Ghost of Sushima. I know GOT was about a war-torn land that was under invasion, but I never felt like I got to experience or have that virtual tourism in a feudal Japanese city/town. All of the towns and cities in GOT were just extremely meh and nothing interesting at all. I'm actually really digging the vibe of Afro samurai going through the city.

- I love the detail to the physics and environment in the sense of how chit breaks and falls apart during the combat sequences. Having the fruit carts, pots and chit break just adds that really nice layer of immersiveness to it.

- Baybaysee Samurai's combat look clunky and heavy ... I mean it just looks like typical AC so there's nothing really to praise or criticize. It's just w/e ... It was a pretty meh showing tbh.

- Ninja girl's combat meanwhile looks pretty damn fun, you get to be a a proper neenjah, the grappling hook, the prone crawl, the taking out of lights, animations etc all look pretty cool and fun tbh. Her chain and ball wrecking all the enemies and the trees look super cool and fun. I'll probably main her as much as I can.

- Love the idea of seasons and how weather affects gameplay, that's something new to the series and I'm keen to see if it's implemented as well as it sounds.

- Graphics are fine. It looks slightly better than AC Valhalla, but I honestly expected a bigger jump in graphics since it's current gen only... But the game will be 60 fps, so those fellas that get anal about framerates are in for a good time.



Overall I mean I thought it was a decent showing ... Cautiously optimistic, but Ubisoft is such a trash company so I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow fuk this up like they did with Valhalla, but tbh it is the Odyssey team working on this, so lets see.
