FYI Christianity isn't the only belief system whom believes in karma or the law of attraction, I just pray that those in this thread will learn to use their God given abilities to will their desires and not will grief through the seven deadly sins

God didn't kill Job's family because they were flawed, he killed them to prove a point.

He didn't kill the first born Egyptians because of a flaw, he killed them to prove his power to the pharaoh in an elaborate display

Apparently almost every human on earth had some major flaw and had to drown.

An all powerful, all loving God routinely kills people that are not his chosen people, for any reason. If anyone else did this, you would call them evil. Because the bible says God is good, we have to believe these acts are good.

The problem with that is according to the bible, we all inherently have knowledge of good and evil, so we should know it in our hearts when we see and hear evil. If I mention the holocaust, no one would bat an eye at calling Hitler evil. Flood the entire world and kill everyone because they didn't love you enough, no one bats an eye.

look up child euthanasia. Things happen. Also some things are more important than a few individuals. If killing me cured children's cancer I would be happy to.

Your teachings are interpretations by man defined by social mores of the times ..

That’s how allegories and fairy stories work ...they are contextual
If that were true Christians would not be able get their morals from the Bible or pre-1700 Christian writers who wrote their thoughts and teachings regarding the Bible. The same cannot be said for atheists who have been all over the map over the last 2000 years.

Both sides have been all over the map! Society is constantly changing, and people's attitudes with it. This same country that was majority Christian from the beginning is the same country that was perfectly fine with ethnically cleansing some natives and enslaving people. These days, Christians would abhor that behavior. Did the bible change? No, society did.

Did all those ancient rules in the old Testament disappear? No, our society literally outgrew the old testament.

If religions didnt change their philosophies and morals over time then they don't stay relevant and will lose practitioners. And the biggest fear of religious leaders is losing their flock, so they are forced to change.

Then why don’t you own slaves
Why is divorce allowed to all but catholics
Why go to a doctor rather than call in a priest when you’re sick
Why do you still have eyeballs...your bible tells you to gouge them out when you see things that make you lustful

I don't think religion is evil per se. Some religious practitioners are evil. As are some atheists. Organized religion is not a bad thing.

If you truly believe you shouldn't care about relevance. Sounds like a false religion that just appeases the masses.

Both governments and religious organizations don't want you to know about the law of attraction they both want you dependent on them

Haven't read were it says I need to own slaves or can't go to a doctor. I don't believe in divorce only in extreme cases and I would feel like a failure. Lustful and covet are two different things.

Again, you are wrong. I have to have an annual medical exam, by a doctor, in order to keep my pilot's licence. I go see a doctor when I'm not sick.
