Gee, I might have been right all along, who could have phuckin guessed. Maybe it's because I used to be really tied in with the late 00's tech/gaming scene, so I quickly became aware of a massive shift in the early 10's. It's like we used to have hangouts where it would just be a bunch of tech/gaming guys chatting about interests, but then all of a sudden there was this flood of political people showing up trying to change everything about every environment they started to have a presence in. Then they started forming cliques, ganging up on people they didn't like, plotting and scheming on them, and eventually forcing them out. This seemed to be happening everywhere in the gaming scene. Journalism, development, publishing, social, you name it. Eventually I started to feel like that guy at the end of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.This is basically what all of the resistance towards pointing this out has really stemmed from. It's aided by people who like what has been happening and want to see it prevail, basically trying to stifle any discontent. That has been effective for about a decade or so sadly, because everyone who was aware has been a minority in the gaming scene, but it's festered to the point where people can't ignore it anymore. Letting these people get away with their antics has emboldened them to where they now openly flaunt their presence and influence.

Color me surprised: a group who insidiously tries to shape "group think" gets mad when someone stands up to organize folks against it.

I just find it amazing how it took people this long, over a decade really, to finally wake up and realize what has been going on behind the scenes. I mean the writing was on the wall, you didn't need all of this information to notice what was happening. People were just in denial when anyone brought up how it's a conspiracy, and, shocker, it turns out there truly was an organized group of people conspiring against the industry the entire time.

I mean all I did was take notice of all the "strong woman" and "diverse" characters they started forcing into everything, as well as all the leftist agendas/talking points that started showing up as well. It's like with graphics being better than ever immersion should have been getting better, but all this woke chit has been really screwing that up. You'll see all these woke cartoon characters and leftist-idealized environments and it would be like a slap in the face reminder of how you're playing a video game with some stupid make-believe world.
