Ask Gesten if there were some free energy researchers on board

Looking at the plane, there's no way a jet engine would ever crash like that. Clearly engine failure that they couldn't get out of.

can sometimes survive a vertical rough landing since decceleration is usaully slow

It definitely didn't hit the ground that fast. The pilot tried to soften the blow as much as possible.

https://x.com/i/status/1821960207062438171

You can see in this video that the plane didn't even disintegrate. But if anybody did survive the impact, they definitely weren't surviving the burning jet fuel.

You can stall a jet plane into a dead drop just like a turboprop. Air France (also leaving Brazil) did it about 15 years ago. Pilot misread instruments and pulled up until it stalled. Probably something similar here, or pilot suicide and taking the plane with him.

The Air France flight(which I assume was the one which crashed over the Atlantic headed to Europe), was because of a Frozen Pitot Tube which fooled the autopilot and caused it to nosedive into the ocean after stalling when the pilot overcorrected. This crash was actually kind of similar to the 373 Max crashes as well, as they were the failure of Autopilot malfunction.

This was clearly some type of engine failure, and not necessarily a stall.

Not true. They are going 0mph inside the plane so if they stepped out at just the right moment before impact it would be like taking a step on a sidewalk.

On first glance that looks like pilot error. Stalled out too close to the ground to recover. Damn that sucks

yeah that is exactly the one I was talking about. I was just disagreeing that you can't stall a jet.

That is not exactly what happened - when the plane went into the stall the captain was pushing the nose down but the first lieutenant was pulling the nose up and on the Airbus those two opposite inputs cancel each other out. The plane was recoverable the problem was the lack of communication between the two pilots and the fact that the first lieutenant did not release the controls when the Captain was flying

Fukn this. If I ever step foot on a plane again, it will be in full winter gear with on O2 tank, and a parachute seated next the to emergency exit.

Try getting out of your seat and opening a door while fighting the G's of a flat spin. Also consider that most crashes happen right before or after takeoff where there's no time to react. Leave your chute at home and just be good with your creator if the worst happens
