I honestly don't see how you guys are ok with this draft. Speed LBs can be had way later in the draft and we drafted a way worse version of KB, giving up our 3rd rounder in the process. We're going in to the season with Byron Bell v2.0 at LT next year and once again we haven't addressed LT. Hell we haven't even addressed RT. Trying to draft a replacement Thomas Davis/Lavonte David is a luxury, one that should be addressed after other concerns have been addressed. You know what would be better than an undersized WLB replacement? A pass rusher.

I honestly think we were going tackle in the 1st. Arizona totally ****ed us with the pick right before us. At that point, theres really not going to be a tackle better that Oher left. I doubt Jon Martin starts for us, Remmers actually started playing good at the end. I do think shaq may have been a reach but who knows. They brought him in like 3 times and tried him out so they must have been pretty sold on his abilities. Trust me, he will put on some size no problem. Funchess will be good. Theres going to be some serious matchup problems with him KB and Olsen out there. Whether or not NO and ATL were possibly looking at him at that pick, who knows. Bottom line is we got Cam another legit weapon to throw at. We do have 2 extra 5th round compensatory picks.

Yes just yes

He was the number 1 receiver prospect as a sophomore, Cosell even said he was more talented than Watkins, Julio and Green.

You should probably go look at who Funchess' QB was the last few years, brah

yeah, the organization who made their stance about domestic violence with Hardy is going to draft a WR with weed and DV problems

The Panthers would never take DGB, he has had more problems than Greg Hardy and thats without the money…and there are certainly good OT left.

Finally got that OT everybody was crying about. Great RT, known as a great run blocker but gave up zero sacks last year.

…probably zero possibility of getting Rashad Greene now tho. Goddamn Falcons drafted my man, Justin Hardy.

i don't see why you're so mad. Gettleman is doing EXACTLY what he said he would do numerous times in the past. He's not going to reach for a supposed need and he was going to take the BPA according to their board.

Oher is not Bell 2.0. no one is as bad as Bell.

It's going to be two years in a row of rolling out a terrible OL. Yes Gettleman has been tied down due to salary cap issues, but not addressing by far the biggest problem two years in a row is a HUGE risk and a terrible decision IMO. Oher is an awful tackle. He wasn't even good at RT (much like Bell).

u wot? Kalil, Norwell, Turner and Remmers were all quality starters last year. The only question is LT. With the Daryl Williams pick he could very well start at RT and they move Remmers back to LT were we used to play.

Edit: Just got D.Will replacement.

Former LB gonna go LB happy lol.

I'll hold off judgment for now though.
Back to back NFC South champs, even with that abysmal record last year…guess I can't complain.

But I just don't see the rest of the conference giving it away to us again.
That's how it seemed last season.
Oh well though. Let's see how things unfold.

Alright I've been negative enough for the offseason. I still think the draft was **** but I'm down for thinking we can be better this year. Healthy Cam, hopefully the OL isn't the dumpster fire it was last year, and some development from KB, Philly Brown (I'm still on board with him), Ealy, and the DBs.

Artis-Payne has been a great back for us for at Auburn. He's a solid north-south runner with good vision and cuts who established himself as the workhorse in a very talented group of RBs. I think he's a great late round pick up for us.

Word is that Kelvin Benjamin is looking good and that Devin Funchess has been impressive. Excited about Jonathan Stewart taking the reigns. Excited about this defense. Excited about our beginning of schedule and good primetime games.

Lots to look forward to this year guys. Can't wait. Not a make or break year by any means but if we are going to shift to a team to be reckoned with year in and year out, this will be the year.
