Yeah I mean Philly has a good front 7, especially rushing the passer. But their secondary is trash and their offense is trash. I'm worried about our punt coverage, too. But LOL at the Philly Miscers saying "Remember last year!"

This ain't last year. If it were, we just beat the second best team in their own house. Our best DL are our DTs and Philly interior OL is garbage.

OL blocked really well against a really good front 7. Defense was mostly good. Cam was off throwing. But being able to win even when he's off is nice.

But damn I hate these prime time games. Gotta be up in 4.5 hours.

Jared Allen could end up being a big get for us. At the very least it's good depth for the line - the most important positional group on defense.

I just can't get hyped on this team because of the sh*t offense around Cam. I seriously hate it because I feel like we are wasting yet another year with an elite defense (you saw last year how quickly a defense can crumble with injuries/****ery).

- lol they're under 500 strong win.

Fully aware our schedule is absurdly weak, but sports misc is so lulzy sometimes. Unless you're the Pats or Packers - your team is fools gold and worth nothing.

Yeah the ravens won with an elite d and terrible offense…our defense isn't as good as that ravens d was but our offense is definitely better. If we can beat or stay within one score of green bay in a high scoring game I think we have just as good a shot as anybody to go deep this year but not having KB is going to hurt real bad.

The NFL is insanely top heavy this year. There are a ton of mediocre to bad teams. The NFCS did get lucky because we play probably the two weakest divisions. So yeah, we're not as good as the Packers, Pats, Bengals, and maybe the Cards. But people acting like the Panthers are not good is just hilarious. We're the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFC.

Bill Barnwell did a ranking of the top 25 NFL teams and has us at 4th, ahead of Denver. Denver is actually one of the worst 6-0 teams of all time, not us. But who cares? We play our schedule and that's the only thing that matters. The rest of the way we'll be underdogs for 3 games at most (GB, Dallas if Romo is back, at Atlanta). There's a really good chance we end up 12-4 or better and that'll probably get a bye.

I would ****ing love to have Smitty back - he is obviously still capable of contributing (in a big way here given what we have now)…but with Gettleman here there is virtually ZERO chance it happens.

2) That said, the last 8 min were an embarrassment for Rivera, who has actually turned into a really good coach overall. Can't sit back in a shell and then not be aggressive on offense. Our DL got obliterated from the fatigue there.

4) DVOA rankings aren't out till later but ELO rankings are out. They have us as the 6th best team (DVOA will be similar). We have two wins against top 10 teams (Seattle and Philly). ELO predicts we have a 55% chance of winning against GB. Our average number of wins is 13, 97% chance of making playoffs, 82% chance of winning NFCS, and 77% chance of first round bye.
