honestly I just hope we stick with running the ball. Cam passing is fun and all but I don't trust our defense against any team in the NFL. gotta control the clock.

Gotta be CB#2 if we go defense. There are no DT's worth picking at our spot(likely the #5-8 range).

A little disappointed in Cam during the 2nd half. It's expected but still.

When Mare missed that field goal I thought "Game over" and it was.

I think we need to draft secondary if it's available. I'd be OK with a guy like Blackmon if there wasn't anyone worth it, but we need D.

I actually think DT is no longer on our list…our DTs played good today. funny when that happens after the 2 rookies went on IR

probably #2 CB, OLB, or OL should be 1st round pick.

I still think we wreck shiit next year and compete for a wild card, possibly even the division

We've seen what Cam and this offense is capable of. We know we have talent on defense that will be healthy next year. We will have a top 10 draft pick and our GM is damn near perfect at picking in the first round, so I have no doubt we will pick a stud whether it's on defense or offense.

I'd love to end the season 3-0 but I can't see us beating the Saints unless they rest starters, and the Texans are no pushover even with Yates at QB.

With all that said, I hope we tear down special teams from top to bottom and start from scratch. I want a new kicker, punter, ST coach, and I want it to be a ****ing priority to find some quality ST guys who can block without ****ing holding.

So much this.

So ****ing tired of our special teams play. We can't get one kick return without someone holding every time. Armanti Edwards is either running backwards when returning his punts, or we get called back because of a penalty. Baker is shanking every ****ing kick for only 30 yards and we're losing the field position battle. We're giving up way too many yards to their punt returners. They're usually starting somewhere near midfield and easily get to our side of the field, because no one can ****ing tackle. Our best special teams player is our starting #2 corner, Munnerlyn. We're always having to start inside our 20 because someone gets called for holding, then we have to drive the length of the field. And I'm not even gonna speak no our ****ty kicker. I would injure that ***got during practice just so we had to sign someone else. We basically had the same thing last year when we had one guy for kick offs, and one guy for field goals. All he does is provide touch backs. And with the ball being moved up 5 yards on the kick offs anyways, how many kickers can't really put it in the end zone nowadays? Pls go.

Today the defense showed up somewhat. They were on the field all day long and obviously wore down as the day went on. Offensively, rookie mistakes. Cam runs backwards way too many times trying to avoid sacks. Don't get me wrong, he pulls of some spectacular plays. You can't go from a 2nd and 4 to a 3rd and 16 in this league, and continuously get away with it. One thing I will say about today is the mind blowing playcalls on offense. At first I was praising our staff for being creative, then we throw about 15 ****ing screens back to back. Screens are to catch a team off guard, they shouldn't be your primary options. With all that said, I'm ****ing pissed as a result of today's game. But I know these are just growing pains, and we'll get better. But for now, yes mad.

After #Panthers HC Rivera left the door open on a new kicker, I caught up w/former Steelers K Jeff Reed, who is from and lives in CLT (cont)
(cont) J. Reed said playing for hometown team would be a dream come true, he's working out daily and in the best shape of his life #Panthers
^^^Jeff Reed, former Steelers kicker. He obviously used to be good but started to suck so he was released or not resigned IDK. I just want to release Mare now. He has had a direct impact in us losing two games on EASY chip shot FG's.

Are there any good kickers in the draft? What about punters?

There's no reason to draft a K or P. There are plenty of good ones in CFL/undrafted FA/etc. But **** yes we need to get some good ones. Keep Pilares and the rest of ST can go.

Getting our injured starters back will help the ST somewhat. Plus a new rookie crop will compete. But Mare has to go. Has to go. I know we need help at corner but I'd like to see someone like Blackmon drafted and maybe sign a stopgap veteran for a couple of years. Just having that dynamic combo of Cam/Blackmon (even after Smitty eventually fades) makes my mouth water.

btw, Bears ST coach Dave Toub's contract is done after this year. Bears offered a contract last year but it wasn't enough apparently.. the connection is there considering Rivera coached with him on the Bears a few years back…

i'd really like to ask him or Stew what kind of effect John Settle the new RB coach has had on them…i know a lot of people were worried after they let Skip go, but I knew Settle would be good. You can't argue with him coaching three 1,000 yard rushers last year at Wiscnosin
