Now that enough time has passed I feel like I can better react to the game
Not srs my jimmies are still obliterated. Can't believe we blew this game.
That said - aside from the SB hangover voodoo sh*t - we should be right back in the mix next year.
- Free agency shouldn't hit us too hard. Doesn't look like we will lose any key pieces.
- Picking 31st BLOWS but since we don't have any GLARING holes we should be able to pick up an impact guy.
- Division is still pretty weak. Jameis looks poised to be a very good QB but I still think that team is a year or two away from serious contention. New Orleans under Brees (same deal with Atlanta) is always a threat but we are far and away better than both so I think we run away with the NFC-S.
I don't follow poverty CFB so I know absolutely dick all regardiall draft prospects. Any stud TE's out there? I feel like I've said it a million times but I'd ****ing love a flashback to the Shockey/Olsen season and build an offense around Cam/K.B./Philly/Ginn/Olsen + another serious TE.

Signed Paul Soliai (DT for the Falcons).
Don't know much about him. The article itself said (paraphrasing here) one of his issues was he is suited to play a space-eater role in a 3-4 defense and hold blockers for the LB's, and couldn't adjust to an attacking 4-3 defense, so… Not really a flashy signing.
However he is an experienced vet that has had success fairly recently. Gettleman is always plucking journeyman nobodies in FA and getting career years out of them. If this guy can even come close to his former production… goodnight sweet NFL with this front 7. It'll be even better than it was last year.

Relying on a sh*tload of what-if's from the receiving corps next season.
- KB needs to come back strong after a srs injury and well over a year out of real football
- Funchess needs to continue the improvement we saw from him in the final stretch of the season.
- Ginn is coming off a career year that NO ONE saw coming. Can he match, or even come close to matching that level of production? Cam was the man, but it's undeniable that Ginn played a pretty fukking huge role in the offense being so dominant. If he reverts back to his career norm.. idk man. Hopefully KB will come back strong which would negate any drop (heh) in production from Ginn.
I think Olsen & Brown are the only constant's; guys that we know will consistently produce at the level we've come to expect. Olsen is great, but Brown is an okay #2 at his absolute best.
Also fukk the Ravens for Steve Smith. Denver brutally butt-fukked the OL and just absolutely rekt every aspect of our offense, but I can't help but wonder if his batsh*t crazy, terrifyingly awesome attitude would've changed things. Denver had the whole offense rattled and it showed (obviously lmao) - Smitty doesn't get rattled. He lives on sh*t like that.
I know he was sidelined with a season-ender last year, but it's a fun scenario to think about.

I don't even like Philly as a number 3, dude went games last season where he was completely invisible , and Funchess still needs time.
I want Percy Harvin the problem is he's always fuking injured, maybe we can bring in Andre Johnson

Mike Wallace just got 5 million a year which is nothing, those other guys will probably be around 3 mill a year.
A rookie receiver isn't ready to make an impact on a SB contender

I don't want us to draft a receiver I wanted to pick one up in fee agency.
Our receivers led the nfl in dropped yards and second in dropped TD, how are we fine at WR? They were the main reason we lost the SB, they are far and away our biggest weakness.
Kelvin is coming off an ACL he's a question mark

Yeah trust me, you guys don't want Wallace. He's definitely lost a step, and had a good case of the dropsies this year (always on 3rd downs too for ****'s sake).
Not worth his chit attitude either IMO.

Gettleman better stop being a cheap fuk, we have all this cap space for nothing.

Shulas play calling didn't do much for our weak OL. He got a lot of praise throughout the season last year but when it really mattered he kinda **** the bed. I think we are fine on O for the most part. Sure, some OL help would be nice but that line was part of the highest scoring O in the league last year. At this point we're probably not going to get anything worth a fk til after the draft.

Gettleman slanging his dick around. Rescinded Norman's franchise tag making him an UFA. Norman wanted Revis money, but he wasn't worth that.

I still don't like the move. He'd have shown up and put in the work before hitting FA next offseason. I agree not signing him is smart but I dunno I think he'd have been a big help.

Gettleman confirmed short fused dickhead

I swear If our defense regresses and we don't make the playoffs or get eliminated in the first round, I'm putting the entire blame on Gettleman. Not even in the coaches knew he was gonna pull this stunt

I put more blame on Norman for not signing the tag in the first place and hiring a ****ty agent who didn't even keep Josh in the loop on how the negotiations were even going. Someone on the Huddle pointed out that Dave had to keep emailing Josh's agent to remind him to inform Josh of the negotiations

Man it really sounds like Norman's agent was an idiot. Hearing Norman had no idea the franchise tag could be rescinded and once informed the Panthers had he called them and asked to sign the tender. I still don't like the move but I can understand how Panthers could get bad messages from such an incompetent agent.

Should have been a simple negotiation.
Luke makes this and that is Josh's ceiling. He shouldn't be paid more than a dude who has made the pro bowl every year, was DROY AND DPOY
