I can't really say anything, he was about the same as McDermmott just blitzing more. He'll probably be good for the Cardinals, they needed a coach to shape up that defense, they played worse than they are all season it seemed (literally watched every Cardinal game the past three years lol)

Idk what to make of this trade

I wanted Watkins or at least Mike Wallace now I doubt we get either. And the eagles were supposed to cut Smith anyways, now we owe him 5 mill each of the next two seasons and a lot fans say he’s washed up.

But on the bright side we got rid of Worley, and if Cam can make Ginn useful he can sure as chit turn around Smith’s career. Plus who knows some team might of been crazy enough to pay Torrey 8-10 mill a year in the open market.

I'm happy with this trade tbh, Worley got roasted all the damn time. Smith would have caught that ball Cam threw to funchess last year too.

Hurney is a total dipsh*t but the guy has always nailed first round picks. Like clockwork. I honestly can't remember even one of his picks in the first busting. In fact most of them played at a very high level. Otah is probably his worst pick and his career ended due to a knee injury. Otherwise:

Peppers
Jordan Gross
Chris Gamble
Thomas Davis
D-Will
Jon Beason ( )
J-Stewart
Jeff Otah
Cam

His draft trades have always been fukking stupid and he crippled us for half a decade with absolutely absurd contracts.. but dem first round picks tho.

Edit - and only 3 of those 12 first round picks were top 10.

Hooray our first round pick will be good. And everyone else will be out of the league in a year.

How many teams consistently hit on any picks post-first round? You can make SOME arguments but it's fair to say once you get past the first 50-60 picks you're flipping a coin.

Maybe I'm ignorant to college football but from the (admittedly little) research I've done our draft seems solid.

Don't really give a **** about preseason but from the half I saw:

1) The secondary was AWFUL. Bradburry wasn't playing but dear God.
2) McCaffery, if healthy, will get 1000 yds receiving.
3) Doesn't matter if KB was right, he's such a bitch for running away from confrontation. If you want to talk **** about someone, cool, but don't run away when they come up to you.

Yeah I'm not really concerned right now. Secondary looked like chit but Seymour was on KB and Bradberry didn't play. It looks like Donte Jackson will be the #2 DB and he looks promising.

I think our offense is much better than last year. I'm excited.

I really, really hope they try to get McCaffrey about 12ish carries a game and Anderson 18ish with McCaffrey getting 6ish receptions. I think if they do that and use McCaffrey in the slot with Anderson a bit the offense will be pretty damn good. OL is still **** though.

Vike fan here, but I've always liked the Panthers cuz of guys like Cam, Luke, Thomas Davis, etc.

Anyway, your team really seems to have a lot of former Viking ties at the moment. My thoughts on each of them:

Norv Turner –he was our OC for 2 and a half seasons here. We didn't have good QB's here like you have w/Cam, but I still disliked Norv's way of doing things. Our OL was atrocious most of Norv's tenure here, but he continued to call 7 step drop after 7 step drop. He basically quit his job when our head coach told him he had to create a dink and dunk offense cuz our OL was so bad. I know your team has had OL issues, so it could be more of the same. At least Cam has good mobility, he'll need it if Norv is same old Norv.

Matt Kalil–he sucks. Nothing more to really add.

Jarius Wright–he is slow but can be a nice #3-4 WR who has reliable hands. He always seemed to make plays on 3rd down when our primary WR's would draw most of the coverage.

Taylor Heinicke–he flashed some talent a few preseasons ago, but looked like crap last year which is why we cut him. He probably would have been our starter here in 2016 had he not broke his foot kicking in his apartment door though. LOL. He can move around and is athletic.

Captain Munnerlyn–you guys had him before, so no need to discuss him other than he is a good veteran DB.

Jeremiah Sirles–he is actually a nice versatile depth OL guy. He can play Guard or Tackle in a pinch and do okay.

Good luck this season.

D-line needs to apply more pressure, but Cam and the offense looked pretty solid.

Donte Jackson is also a bad ass

Edit: The makeshift O-line was actually pretty decent as well

Kinda hard to say about the run because the Pats run D might just be awful. In general it looks like Turner knows what he's doing compared to Shula, which isn't shocking.

In general I don't see any reason to think the Panthers will be anything but pretty damn good. Not elite but 9 wins with a chance at 10 or 11.

It's pre-season, don't get carried away. The Panthers offensive line is not healthy, which is a concern.
