Do not want. Claiborne, Jenkins, Kirkpatrick > Gilmore.
If they traded down and got him I'd be fine with that, but not at #9.

Apparently the thought is that Cox may go at 7 to either Jacksonville or someone trading up there for him. Apparently Jenkins has been taken off of several teams draft board all together do to his off field stuff (including how many children he's fathered or something, da fuk?)… so he'd likely be available in round 2.

If the Cowboys have as big of a hard on for Mark Barron as ESPN seems to think then the Panthers should call them and talk to them. They have the 14th pick.

How do other Panthers fans feel about this?

I was dead wrong about Cam Newton. I'm probably wrong about Coples as well. I trust this staff.

a lot more doubters than people in favor of Coples. I'm with you on the trusting the staff thing, 100% hit rate in the first round for Hurney.

gotta wonder how much of an input Rivera has in the decision though.

all the signs are pointing to Coples. they've had multiple meetings with him, as well as his family. kinda stoked, if he reaches dat super star potential, oh lawd. good night sweet Brees/Ryan/Freeman(not like Freeman will be a starting QB much longer anyways).

I was all for Newton and thought it was a great pick from the start

I'm not quite so confident in Coples and am very skepticalhippo.jpg

Not to mention pretty much no one here in Chapel Hill thinks highly of him

I've said it before, I do not want Coples. Of course I didn't want Newton. My question about Coples is his desire and motor, and you can't teach those.

We needed a DT, but I think Kuechly was the best available defensive player so I'm good.

Maybe a year will help our youngsters develop there. I also think that i remember reading somewhere that next year is supposed to have a of DLine depth. Couldn't source it, though.

There's a lot of depth in this draft. We could easily get a good DT in the second round. Could also grab a good DB, which there is depth, too.

How much do you guys hate a guy like Janoris Jenkins? Top talent, world of problems. If he's around in the 2nd or even 3rd, what do you guys think?

Anybody want to make predictions of players/positions that we target tomorrow?

We just took a LBer with our first pick, so I have no fuking idea. Probably a QB, or RB. Maybe a kicker.

Doesn't really seem like a position of need but he's a stud and with the questions about Davis why not. We needed help stopping the run bigtime. We got some.

Kuechly was a good pick, why not take someone awesome that will make an impact instead of settling for a average DT (which we drafted 2 rookies there last year), just because we need it. Will pay off in the long run.

Hopefully they can get Janoris Jenkins or Vinny Curry in Round 2.

Janoris Jenkins, Vinny Curry, Courtney Upshaw, Andre Branch, Jerel Worthy, Devon Still, Alshon Jeffery, Stephen Hill, Reuben Randle and Coby Fleener are still on the board.

haha, all the signs were pointing to Coples man.. seriously surprised. his draft process was almost identical to Cam's(several interviews, an eventual meeting with his family, etc) but I guess that really was a smoke screen.

Who is moving outside? Kuechly or Beas?

All signs point to Kuechly moving outside, and Davis being done as a Panther (no Nostradamus)
