Game time boys (Panthers vs Dolphins), wish steve smith was available this game to play to give cam some options and see them together. Also want to see Cam run some but its probably a good idea if he doesn't run much in pre season.

Is JStew ever going to get over this achilles deal? Glad to see Kalil extended.

We didnt have a great time of possession but Cam struggled to get it to any wide receiver, Shockey and Olsen had most of the yardage (ruleing out a 20 yard screen pass). Cam did make a few runs that looked nice. At halftime he effortlessly threw the ball 50 yards into the endzone haha

One of the problems the defense had last night I think was that the two rookie DTs started sucking wind early (88% humidity in Miami) and so that kind of hurt them long term. Carolina did make a hell of a goalline stand early in the game, stuffing the Dolphins on 3 straight tries from inside the 3. Granted, they managed to push it in on 4th down, but it was a really good stand, we actually had a fumble recovery on that stand that was taken away because of a penalty.

I know you're a Falcons guy but it always is good to have a little support. Having the Falcons/Saints/Bucs in the division is going to make it hard to pick up wins, that's for sure, but I think we'll get to see this team grow up a lot. And when Cam finally figures out what he's doing it's going to be fun watching it happen.

I don't know about you guys but I'm sick of Otah and his injury ****. how can he sit out for almost 2 years and still not be healthy enough to play a preseason game. I think next year if we're picking high(likely), we have to take a serious look at Matt Kalil, Ryan Kalil's brother. Guy is an elite LT prospect and we could move Gross to RT if we draft him. I think it's going to be between OL and WR for our first pick next year.

I could see them going OLine, but depending on what's available, I could see a top flight corner coming in too. I don't know what the hell is going on with Otah and it's really a shame. The dude was so good when he was healthy, it's a shame to see this. But it has been a long time since he played and I can't figure out how he can't be healthy yet either.

I'm hoping Hurney struck gold with another late round o-linemen and Ziemba can play RT if needed. I've heard good things about him at training camp.

my thoughts
-we have the worst group of DT's in the history of the NFL. never have I seen a team so hopeless against the run. if we were facing a team with a legit QB I could understand giving up the run to defend the pass, but this was ANDY ****ING DALTON, ARGUABLY THE WORST STARTING QB IN THE NFL. **** that was pathetic watching them run the ball at will.
-in all my time following the Panthers, I have never been more worried about the defense. obviously there's the whole DT being pathetic thing. our #1 corner is straight up terrible and got burnt multiple times tonight by a rookie, and to add onto that, we don't even have an established #2 corner! Beason, the best player on defense, is injured and could possible miss games going into the season because he just had surgery. our safeties are average at best. and while Charles Johnson is good he's going to be double teamed every snap if another DE doesn't step up.. needless to say, I think our offense is gonna have to put up absurd and unrealistic numbers to win games because the defense will be atrocious unless a miracle happens.
-Cam, while he's shown flashes, simply isn't ready to start. I love the excitement he brings and the big plays he makes running the ball, but as a passer his footwork is really, really bad and his accuracy is very inconsistent. it's stuff you expect out of a rookie QB, so don't get me wrong here, I just think he needs some more work before we throw him behind that o-line.
-why weren't the TE's used more today? seemed like Cam was trying too hard to get the ball to Smitty.
-Tyrell Sutton is a monster and I hope he's not cut
i'll add some more stuff later, for now I gotta go get some stuff from the store to prepare for the hurricane. I don't know how many of you guys are near the cost(I'm in VA Beach, less than a few miles from the oceanfront lol), but stay safe. this hurricane is gonna be a bad one.

John Kasay to the Saints and Geoff Schwartz to IR. Not a great week.
I still respect the hell outta Kasay, but the Saints? The ****ing SAINTS!? Come the **** on man, lol. How bad is it going to sting if he kicks a game winner against us next year?

Hate that Kasay went to the Saints..
Cam supposed to get a couple of series tonight. Honestly, I wish they'd give him a half, he could use the experience.
