Also I've never used a Gillette product in over a decade. A good safety razor is a one time purchase and razor blades are extremely cheap. Mine looks brand new because it's built sturdy... just like me... And wetshaving is the superior and manlier method. I have a beard but I still use my razor on the neck and to clean up my beard line. 1 sharp blade = precise as fuk.

Get on it boys.

I've never had a job where I had to be clean shaven, so I always rock a couple of months worth or facial hair. When I did shave regularly I used my dads wet shaver, and it was passed to my dad from his dad which is kinda cool. Its almost like a family heirloom. They last forever, all you have to do is swap out the blades.

Make a video featuring all of the worst female stereo types and end it by saying "Do better women".

Everyone at gillette would be canned already.

You guys really seem to be biased towards seeing white guys as victims.

I literally just pulled up the video again. And they have a black dude alone in a shot @ 0:35 saying 'Boys will be boys' whilst standing and watching kids fighting.

I'm trying to figure out why mentally you guys seem to not be seeing the ad clearly.

The things you are complaining about are simply not true, and all we have to do is watch the video.

Black dude saying 'boys will be boys'.

1 White guy stopping the fight while the other dads (including the black guy) stand and watch.

1 White guy with his son stopping a white kid from getting beaten up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koPmuEyP3a0

The 'anti white' stuff you guys are claiming is nonsense.

I wasn't triggered. Typical advertising technique.

Double-sided safety razor CREW though. Traditional wet shaving CREW. I actually have some Gillette blades in my arsenal too, not mad.

Well we'll disagree, I'm pretty sure they were showing 2 kids fighting.

And if it didn't look realistic, it's because they are kid actors.

I'll tell you why, because I've experienced the same thing talking to women.

I've spoken to some women about toxic female behaviour, and rather than simply acknowledge that it happens and women can be toxic, and hopefully women will stop it... They've called me sexist, "but men do XYZ", and I've even been hit.

(However, I have known some women who acknowledge that what I'm saying is accurate, and say that it bothers them. My female counsellor literally warned me the other day, when we were discussing dating, how many of her male clients complain that women want them to 'look after them' emotionally and financially, and how much of a strain it is on men's mental health.)

It's the same thing with this ad, they are calling out toxic male behaviour, and it's the same hysteria that I see from some men in response.

IMO and IME there's chitty behaviour that women tend to engage in, and chitty behaviour men tend to engage in, and I think it's a good thing to call out any the chitty behaviour.

The misc does it all phucking day with women, this ad does it to men, and the misc goes apechit.

IMO the misc can dish it out, but can't take it.

It's not just the Gillette commercial, it's the recent trend overall of this sort of chit being thrown at us. Gillette is not the first (nor will they be the last) company to use advertising money to virtue signal and push propaganda that has very little, if anything, to do with what they are selling. Most men are tired of being told we are all guilty by association with other men. Not to mention if there was a "#WomenCanBeBetter" campaign from a company that make toothpicks we all know what the result would be, and it would be 100x times more uproarious than what we are seeing with this Gillette commercial. I think that's also another reason a lot of men have a problem with it. In case you haven't noticed a lot of us men tend to get upset at double standards being pushed on us like this. Calling a man out for "mansplaining" is okay but "womansplaining" is an offensive term and I could get fired for saying it.

Name some examples of chitty behavior you saw in the commercial. Was it the part where the man wanted to approach a woman he was attracted to? Maybe compare and contrast something egregious you saw in the commercial with something that regularly gets discussed here.

Cos the people that were triggered by this ad are just as bad as the soyboys on the left. They are exhibiting the same outraged behavior, but somehow lack the self awareness to recognize it.

I agree with the pandering to women part.... I think they believe women are mostly the consumers who would care enough to watch their ad and go out to buy Gillette products for their husbands/bfs and themselves.

That being said, women absolutely do not get charged more for the same products. I've personally done the research with my own money and the women's blades are way different to the men's. The razor heads are higher quality, have more padding and way more gliding gel. I've told all my gym bros who shave their arms to switch to the women's razor because they give a smoother shave and are much better at preventing irritation. So yeah, you pay an additional cost for a superior product.

Disagree. I've also used both and found them to be similar, and if anything the men's are a little better. Currently I use men's ones.

I'm not sure why you deleted the rest of the post countering the argument you made (the reason you made this thread) I'm sure it's because you know you have nothing to argue against it with.

lmao bullying. Everyone bullies everyone. Women bully each other as well, just differently from men. Are you going to push a #WomenCanBeBetter too? Of course not.
Sexual harassment? Like when that guy wanted to approach that woman on the street? And fuk out of here mentioning rapists like Cosby and Weinstein. You honestly think us men share some responsibility in that? What the fuk does that have to do with the rest of us? That's precisely why a lot of us hate the video -- men are guilty by association. The onus is on men to learn rape is not OK and educate other males. You must have missed where I said that. Oh wait no you deleted it because you didn't want to argue against it.
Taking rough housing too far? It looked to me like the man stepped in when the kids were fighting. You said so yourself, didn't you?

You honestly don't know why the fuk you made this thread, did you? You are clearly just being a contrarian and trying to draw attention to yourself.

U so have no idea what you're talking about lmao. The men's are fine for shaving your face, the women's are much better for shaving body hair. I'd go show you my fuking venus razor right now brah. Lol.

Women's fitness supplements probably have different ingredients or a higher concentration of an ingredient. Same as shampoos, your hair products have all these fancier herbs and aromas and extracts. And ingredients for sensitive skin, you name it. The body creams etc seem to target a bunch of problem areas women may have. Men's creams? Smell gud make skin wet, das it.

Like you can't possibly be so oblivous to the fact that when it comes to grooming and hygiene products, women care ALOT more and therefore companies spend alot more in marketing, research, and ingredients to create products specific to their expanded needs as compared to men. I've been in girls' rooms and their entire room is decorated with a bunch of skin and hair products. It's insane. I have one shampoo and one body cream which I often forget to use.

Me too, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

What they seemed to be depicting was an actual fight, or rough housing that got serious(which happens, and IMO it's important for a parent to step in and say, chill out guys. You can play fight, but don't really fight each other, or you'll have to stop playing together).

At least I hope they were depicting what I just wrote, and not simply saying that rough housing in and of itself is bad.

I'm with OP. People need to stop spending so much of their mental energy searching for reasons to get offended. FWIW, that goes for both sides of just about every major social issue.
Take it easy Christian

Show me your venus razor all you want, I've had one, I'm a woman. IME men's ones work better. Yeah women care more, that's why they get charged more and on top of that by stupid **** that doesn't work like cellulite cream and IT wraps. It's all marketing, as you said they know that women care more and will spend more.

The women's fitness supplements are marketed as lower calorie so you won't magically build men's muscles, in reality the scoop size (to use the example of whey) is smaller, you could have a half scoop of a cheaper whey. Occasionally they add some pointless **** that sounds good.

Edit: in the end, even if you disagree on which razor type is better, you agree that women are willing to spend more, so pandering to them in adverts makes sense. Marketing.

I get what you're saying OP. Never expect a different response from the hive mind that is misc, and I mean never.

Almost no one will try to see this from your point of view or find common ground. You will only get insults about your testosterone levels or soy consumption.

Part of me thinks you knew this would happen, but I like the cut of your jib. You got spunk kid.
I'm back, bitches!

What issues? that people are aholes? If this is the biggest concern of our society right now what was in that commercial than we have reached peak humanity. An even better commercial would have addressed single mother households.
