Dude, I wholeheartedly recommendStoner By John Williams.

I really wish someone recommended this book to me when I was about 21. I think it's the book that Gen Z needs, in an age where it seems like everyone is trying to be an e-celeb. Where a lot of men/boys think that anything other than being like Peter Thiel, Elon Musk or Dan Bilzerian is a crappy life.

An unremarkable life, filled with love, loss, cowardice, courage, victories, defeats, failures and successes.

"You must remember what you are and what you have chosen to become, and the significance of what you are doing. There are wars and defeats and victories of the human race that are not military and that are not recorded in the annals of history. Remember that while you're trying to decide what to do."

IMO any person who is deeply introverted will relate strongly to the character.

I love Dan Brown books.


While the story of Dan Langdon is fictional, the very detailed information concerning concepts explored such as historical events, technological advances, significant institutional structures, etc. is well researched and accurate.


The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, and Inferno are my favorites.

The first two were made into movies, and I think they were working on one for Inferno.
