One time I heard my neighbour and the next neighbour over screaming for help and their dogs going crazy. I didn't want to get involved because the dog next door was a bull mastif (nasty thing too). But she was screaming for help so I picked up a 2x4 and jumped the fence to see these two dogs fighting and their female owners screaming at them to stop and swearing at each other (lol wut).

It was a pretty messy scene with the mastif foaming bloody drool and biting the other dog. I cracked it on the head with the 2x4 a couple times and it let go and sort of calmed down, the owner put it on its chain and the other dog ran back through the fence.

I wouldn't say it was traumatic, but I was shook and my adrenelin was pumping. You did the right thing going to help OP.

Bro back in my sister & i's late teens we both lived with my mom and my sister was going through a drug phase. She would do some kind of drug before bed and for a few days would have this re-occurring nightmare where she would be dreaming that she woke up and looked into a mirror and saw a red eyed demon. This would cause her to scream ABSOLUTE bloody murder. The first time I heard this scream from my bed room I woke up and thought that is the scream of death, like somebody for sure broke into her room and is holding her at knife point. I run in there and of course find out it's a nightmare. It happened again a few more nights and even though it sucked to get woken up by that I knew what it was at least.

I remember one time my ex and I were driving past a small hill that people sled down. It was winter but no snow yet. We saw a body laying about 3/4 of the way up the hill face down, clothes were pulled up partially exposing back. We got out of our vehicle and I called out. No response. I started walking up the hill and could see the skin was quite discolored. I told me ex to call it in. When she explained the scenario, the dispatch said they already received a call and they were on the way.

I started waking closer and closer. I clapped my hands. Suddenly the body moved just enough to start to roll. It rolled right at us lol. I'm telling my ex to back up. The body rolled all the way down the hill...and then stood up. He started staggering away with hay sticking out of his hat. Lmao... dude was drunk and passed out in the winter.

It was a weird feeling believing it was an actual dead body. Face down, clothes were ruffled, it seemed like he was beat up and left for dead.
