This isn't looking good. It was initially projected 12 hours ago to hit West of Gainesville now it's projected to be a dead on hit in Tampa area and its projected to be a Category 1 when it hits but its looking like its not gonna shift down to category 1 until it directly hits whereas in an earlier projection it was supposed to subside to a Category 1 earlier now not until it pretty much hits directly which means it could end up possibly being stronger when it does make landfall and be more than Category 1.
Hurricane Irma was overrated and not much... this might be something.

Naples checking in. In 2017 Irma fukked us good. Our roof just got replaced this past winter from it as the insurance companies don’t want to pay out just take in the premiums.
Roof was not destroyed it’s clay tile but it was damaged. Now that we have a new roof if it gets ruined we pay 10% for a new one.
Good luck to all my Florida brothers.
If I remember Irma hit Marco island as a 5 and hit us as a 4. I am about a mile inland.

Can someone get on the horn and call up project stormfury to redirect this chit to New Orleans? It's been almost 20 years since mother nature sterilized that wound. It time again, LMFAO.

I'm more concerned about tomorrow Tuesday. I have this goldilocks royal flush deal where a woman in a retirement home here has a house worth $250k and getting foreclosed on a $58k mortgage. I sent a dozen yellow roses to her last week and met with her today. She authorized me to look at the house. When I got there with my handyman, I brought a video camera to document how bad this place was, but the place is brand new everything. She hasn't been in the house for a few years. Her husband was living there and he died in July. When I met with her today, I told her I would bring her the paperwork tomorrow. Now I'm just hoping for moderate weather tomorrow so that I can get her sigs on this contract to buy her house for $61,000. I'd net $120k+ on this deal. Who cares about a hurricane?

Glad I don't live in Tierra Verde anymore. No amount of peppering could stop any decent surge from taking my house to snap city.

Tampa checking in. In a mandatory evacuation zone because I live in a apartment on the water, although a high rise so my personal place wont get flooded but the surrounding area is going to flood out and be impassable likely. Thought about staying to watch and record but I'm getting called in to work through the storm.

My future summer place of Anna Maria Island will make it through ok right? Hurricanes know to take out poverty areas like Destin and the Floribama shores, not high class places like AMI, right?

Damn. Gotta say I'd be getting the hell out of dodge with that kind of warning. And if you live in one of those old condo buildings on the beach, look out.

the fact that the warning cone is still pretty wide shows you this isnt fully honed in yet, still some wiggle room. lets see if hte trough can push it further south
