Just take a day off here and there, especially weekends.

Kratom is basically an opiate high. It is way less dangerous than dope or painkillers, but it is still very addictive. I think booze is a lot worse but kratom definitely ain't benign. Especially when people are eating a spoonful every hour.
Workers in some countries chew on the leaves to get them through the day.

Be careful with it. It’s addicting, though it’s not nearly as bad as the propaganda machine has been recently pushing (pharma is scared of it). I take it daily rather then the benzos that the VA wants to shell out to me. It’s great, but it will grab a hold of you so I’d recommend for everyone who hasn’t done it to limit use to a couple times per week max. It’s similar to caffeine (Kratom tree is in the same family as the coffee tree) and nicotine as far as addiction, it’s 95% mental cravings and 5% physical symptoms. But the cravings are intense. I take it daily and really enjoy it, it’s been a blessing for me. The only other thing that levels me out (that isn’t an extremely harmful pharmaceutical) is full spectrum CBD that has minuscule amounts of THC in it, but I can’t use that and keep my job unfortunately

It can be like an opiate at higher doses, but even still it’s like a diet pain killer . If a pharmaceutical pain killer was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, then Kratom would be like a 2 or 3, and that’s at higher doses. Smaller doses are where it’s at as far as just feeling fukkin great. Also I’d recommend to everyone not to buy the chit from gas stations, use a legitimate vendor online. Most importantly be smart about it

Caffeine dehydrates you, burns out adrenals, causes kidney damage and probably a bunch of other stuff.

It's a stimulant of course there can be bad effects over a long enough consistent usage.

As harmless as it sounds I'd be most worried about the diuretic properties of it.

Have to be careful about "insidious" things in that vein: chronic dehydration, chronically elevated blood sugar, chronically high sodium etc.

It's kind of like smoking if the first cigarette killed you then nobody would ever pick up the habit.

Instead the 5000th or 10,000th cigarette is the one that kills you, so you feel it's harmless until it's too late.
The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.

At least it will thunderstorm tonight, and we know how they feel about water. :)
