Doesnt matter to me in the least, I dont eat there.
Its like saying that ferraris are getting a price increase. i am not buying one so what should I care?
if you keep paying the higher prices, that tells then you support it. Just stop doing it and cook at home. Its not that hard.
Get a pack of cheap hamburger, chicken breasts and drumsticks and you will eat good all week for a few minutes prep time.
Last night I took a chicken breast, cut it up and put it in a skillet with oil. Poured spaghetti sauce over it all. Cut up and onion and threw it in there too.
You can eat it over noodles potatoes, rice, whatever. Took 15 minutes and was delicious. Cost maybe $1.50 plus I have more for tonight.
if you arent cooking at home, you are playing into their hands like a woman. be a man and cook your own food.

people love to cry piss and moan about it online but they don't stop going so i dunno what anyone expects wendys/mcdonalds etc to do. i see the same thing being commented ITT - lines indoors, drive throughs backed up with cars, uber eats/doordash drivers running in and out.
its like as long as people have a place to vent (X, forums, reddit whatever) they are perfectly fine getting ripped off for microwaved frozen food that has nostalgic happy logos on it. vintage "consoomer" life.

Since she handles payroll for a landscaping company, many of the landscapers and office people tell her their whole life story.
So she can see they make 50k upwards of 100K, but each one of them is so bad with money. They are still renting, have car notes above what they take in, take vacations every 3 months or so. List goes on.
I think people want to play the fast game rather than the long game because it is boring and unsatisfying.

Groceries for life crew. Only problem is if you have a girlfriend/wife/family and they wanna eat out all the time.
I can feed myself off of $5-7/day, srs. But brb average consumer gets their $8 Starbucks drink, $15 Chipotle, $15 Dominos, costing like $40 a day, and that's without even considering delivery/tips.

I honestly don't eat at the national fast food chains anymore. Portions have gotten smaller, quality is down, price is up. If I do eat at one, it's a local chain that isn't gouging as much.

fast food places were once per week/once per month "treats" back in the 50's-70's. now their business model has changed to encourage people to eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. 5 days per week.

I try not to eat fast food often. Went to Five Guys last night. It was $16 for a double bacon cheeseburger and a small cajun fry.
To be fair to Five Guys. Their food is not exactly 'fast food'. Its a restaurant quality burger/fry IMO. With that said. $16 for a burger and fry (no drink) is a bit stiff.

As others have said, its all about the apps and Mcodnalds is still always the cheapest. I can get 3x triple cheeseburgers for $8 on the app. Thats a lot of burger for under $10 still.

Inflation report out today ticked higher. Prices are rising once again. Might have to take out a loan soon to buy a fast food meal.
