If I hadn't lost all my guns in a boating accident they would be in every room of my house.

progressive city council people like to pad their pockets by taking developer money and allowing section 8 apartments next to nice suburbs while screeching about nimby. There are plenty of instances of violent crime spilling over.

Guns should be an element of any home security plan unless youre too disabled to use them.

I actually did have someone break in and rob my place a couple days before Christmas like 8 years ago. There was a dark corner with a window A/C unit still in there, and they managed to pull out the A/C unit and grab a couple Laptops and an IPad. Came back from partying and was all drunk and realized me computer was missing and the window was open.

Installed more exterior lighting in this dark space and do a much better job of securing all windows. Robbers generally aren't going to spend a ton of time breaking into homes, they go around testing for easy entry(like unlocked windows) and will break in if they find something.

You don't need anti-climb home defense concertina wire in mostly white neighborhoods…… Why is that?

Anyone find it sad that the only reason we need these "abo proof fences" is because of Wakandans or latinX's?

Before that, I was living in an actual autonomous house but it had a spiked metal fence all around the perimeter. In that suburb, everyone has an Abo-proof fence. Without one, you're asking for trouble.

I lived in an apartment a few years ago and it was on the highest floor. It was good, as you say. Practically impossible to climb up to and you would need a code to get in through the front door, and even still, a thick ass door to my unit.

Big ass dog, safe neighborhood, don't have anything worth breaking into my house to steal

I would like to get a firearm tho

I lived in a couple apartments that were in sketchy areas and i was more paranoid there. Crackheads lingering around outside, meth dealers living in the top floor, customers of meth dealers shouting all night to be let in the building, crazy old man knocking on my door at midnight calling out for sergeant bob. I once got home from work and there was a shirtless man swinging an axe around in the packing lot, by the time i got in my apartment and looked outside he was surrounded by cops but still.. Fuk that man. I live outta the city now in a small little town.

Any apartment in a city is liable to be subjected to sketchy chit like that. The crackheads and homeless thieves and bums roam everywhere.
money, cars, clothes and hoes is all a miscer knows

I didn’t have to get this carried away , but I installed a server rack in the basement and wired it up . Kind of enjoyable building stuff like this tbh . Took all the coax out of my house with the exception of the rg11 feed , and ran over a 1000’ of cat 6

To be fair, none of our video systems, no matter how advanced, will do much besides let you know someone is ransacking your home.

So you can either grab your gun if home, or if at work/away, you can have a laugh and a chuckle with the invaders over mic as they steal everything, and there is nothing you can do. Cops won't even give a chit most places.

Gotta realize that we live in a post peaceful America (thanks to lefties), where nobody can leave their homes and cars unlocked, or some Basketballer is gunna be fukking with it.

If someone ransacks my home while I am away, that would suck, but insurance and time will restore everything.

If someone comes in my house while I am home, they are going to get shot or attacked by 2 german shepherds or probably both at the same time.

i miss that boat.

that said don't live in a crime ridden neighborhood if you can.
All the security cameras in the world are not going to stop someone from breaking in if they decide they want in but they do give me a little bit of a warning when someone is in my driveway for example.

Large breed dog trained to protect barriers.

Was having a 3sum with two girls on molly at their place and my doggo was asleep on the couch. One of her ex's tried to stop by, door was unlocked. In the time it took for the doorknob to turn my doggo was up and at the door, door opened a few inches and dog lunged out to bite them, they quickly closed the door, lol

pretty sure they caught of glimpse of both of them on their knees blowing me in the kitchen before my dog bit them. MOGGED
