How do people live in houses without the fear of being robbed?

For the past 10 years i've always lived in apartments because of the safety

if someone wants to break into my suite, they would have to get through security at my apartment as well as the locked doors. My apartment is also high up so they wouldn't be able to climb up my windows like Spider Man

I can't imagine how it would be like living in a house say right next to a bus stop where people could break in any time they wanted to

if someone got your address for your home and wanted to rob you they could easily do that. But at an apartment? Good luck getting inside

I live in a townhouse now, in a complex and it's got security cameras at the entrance and an electronic lock on the door, not the easiest place to break into.

Before that, I was living in an actual autonomous house but it had a spiked metal fence all around the perimeter. In that suburb, everyone has an Abo-proof fence. Without one, you're asking for trouble.

I lived in an apartment a few years ago and it was on the highest floor. It was good, as you say. Practically impossible to climb up to and you would need a code to get in through the front door, and even still, a thick ass door to my unit.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

houses are much safer even in the most dangerous neighborhoods because you can install all sorts of security systems.

Not to sound like a badass, but I was a soldier and understand how to install barriers of security. Let's just say if someone targeted my place, I would know they are there and they would have no idea. I also live in Texas and have no mental limitations of killing someone for the sake of self-defense. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Actually more surprised people live in cities without their own minimum growable food supply (vegetables, fruits, chickens to be eggmaxxed) without fear of the entire system collapsing and leaving them SOL (ded srs it’s coming when inflation spirals out of control)

I used to live at an acreage, and was never considered about anything , but once I moved into town I was a little freaked out .
Bought an aiarm the first week I moved in , and 24 years later installed a surveillance system. Always wanted to install one, as it’s something I always thought was interesting. Glad I waited for the technology to i prove before I bought anything.

I didn’t have to get this carried away , but I installed a server rack in the basement and wired it up . Kind of enjoyable building stuff like this tbh . Took all the coax out of my house with the exception of the rg11 feed , and ran over a 1000’ of cat 6

I live on an island with only 3000 people, stealing or serious crime is virtually non existent. there is one town, where you gonna run and hide your stolen chit?

I could leave a mountain of amazon boxes on my doorstep and they would be safe as long as I lived here.

There are plenty of apartment complexes that are developed similar to a hotel, where to go to your apartment you have to go through a lobby first. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Most of these miscers either live in complete chitholes, or they watch way too many movies that make them fantasize about wild break-ins and them being badass superheroes and chit.

Settle in a nice neighborhood. I live in one of the safest places in the country. People here don't lock their doors. I found a lost dog on my property once, called the # on the tag, and buddy was at work, told me where he lived, literally asked if I could please go into his empty house (unlocked door), and leave his dog, which I did. He lived up the way.

But what if they haunt your ass afterwards. Imagine living your entire life with 'OOOOO IM A GHOST' echoing in your toilet when you're trying to phone elvis.
