Just flat out, you’re not going to be able to build a social circle outside of school.
The best you can do is have coworkers that you grab a bite with or a drink with after work that talk about work or sports. This could lead to a more stronger friendship after like 2/3 years of working together.
People don’t want to make new friends, majority of people stick with their high school, college or work friends.
You’re not going to go to a meet up or softball tournament or coed soccer and meet a girl to date or build friendships. People go to these things WITH THEIR CURRENT FRIENDS! Not for some misc/reddit goober to try befriend them.
Other stupid advice I’ve read online about making friends is going to a restaurant to try make friends, going to a park or museum. None of this will work. You’re not going to make friends at the zoo or aquarium.
Just flat out, you’re not going to be able to build a social circle outside of school.

Not to mention, the basis of most relationships is that of commonality and shared interests, thus where you work is something you will have in common.
