No, I specifically said on average

It’s a binary outcome

No, I’m not now going to explain introductory stats and probability theory to you

In summary though your original position about beating someone up is a suboptimal strategy with a negative expected value

Unrelated: what do you do for a living? Like what is the job category? I don’t need specifics just the general type of work or sector

What I think is that you're full of shyt, and looking to have a petty disagreement.

I don't personally care what you think on the matter.

If you genuinely didn’t care you wouldn’t have bumped the thread 4 times trying to get me to notice you

Imagine a mobster went away and came home to find someone squatting in his house.

Does anyone think he is calling the cops and whining to the news crew?

No, he would handle it in five minutes and be done with it and nothing would come of it.

Seems its only an issue when people involve the law.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

And do you think any squatter is going to pick a mob boss’ house to squat in?

No of course not

So your example is redundant

You don’t need to outrun the leopard, you just need to be faster than the next guy

Don’t be an easy mark, you won’t get ripped off

I'm glad i live in Florida. Not long ago they passed a new law making it easier to remove a squatter.

Governor DeSantis Signs Legislation to End the Squatters Scam in Florida

https://www.flgov.com/2024/03/27/gov...am-in-florida/

When I lived in Illinois that was a big concern, not only for myself but also neighbors. I'd leave my Illinois place for months at a time and that would make neighbors nervous. I was constantly being notified by concerned neighbors that someone might be in my place. i installed securities cameras into my former place eventually. I figured if anyone entered the house illegally I'd know right away from the security camera and hopefully that would be to my benefit against any squatter in deep blue Illinois when i called the police.

Property rights don't seem to matter much to blue politicians though. In those blue states thieves can steal property and squat in homes without facing legal consequences all to often.
