Go have a family OP. There’s nothing better than coming home to play with my daughter and having her run up to me screaming my name and grabbing her shoes to go play outside. The wife cooking dinner while we’re outside in the backyard pushing the wagon or playing in her toy car. GOAT life.

You're gonna have to connect with people. Sitting by yourself or only having surface level conversations ain't it.

If you don't know what to say, there's a plethora of info on YouTube that will help you build charisma. It is a skill like any other, meaning the more you practice, the better you get.

It doesn't matter if you're shy or your mind draws a blank. If you practice certain conversational techniques, you can get people to open up, find common ground, and make some really good friendships. White friends may come and go, it's good to enjoy them while you have them.

Charisma is also what you need to find a girlfriend. The only difference is you add playful flirting into the mix. At any bar you go to, there's always someone who'd like to have a buddy there, but doesn't know how to do so. Be that buddy. Listen, ask the right questions. YouTube my guy, YouTube.

I just went and found this reddit post that I think will help you out

Volunteer at The Humane Society or a soup kitchen, learn to play an instrument, play Elden Ring until your eyes bleed. Literally anything other than working a minute past 40 hours if you're salaried. You're better than that. Everyone is better than that. Srs

Why would you want to bypass an extremely useful life skill based on human interaction? We're social creatures.

You realize part of his struggle is that he's FA at thirty years old, right? Telling someone in this situation to just "go have a family, breh," is like telling the minimum wage worker, "just go make millions, breh. Life is so much better."

Not even remotely the same. Having a family doesn’t even specifically have to be about kids, but you can have a “family unit” that is filled with friends

His issue is literally that he would rather work for free than connect with other humans

If you're using "family" that broadly and loosely, then ok.

I agree with jaydog. Plus there's the incel elephant in the room, the fact that most of their issues are in their heads. Incels need to realize that no one cares, and that even Chads get rejected, and a lot more than they think.

You need to give them baby steps. Telling a guy with zero experience with women to "get a family" isn't productive, that was my only point.

Yeah, this is true. You need a "tribe" or 'clan" after a certain age. Be is a group of coworkers, etc.

A group of single guys to go out to dinners/bars with can be as good as a family. But it's necessary.

OP make your overtime work for you. Time you spend with your employer needs to do two things; pay you money, and set you up to earn more money. The later can be learning new skills that make you more marketable, introducing you to clients that you can poach in the future, experience to make you worth more, etc. If the unpaid OT isn't providing a tangible benefit then stop it. If you stop the OT then focus that time on something to increase your value as a worker (learn new skills, increase skills you already have, prepare you for a career change, whatever). If all else fails go whoremaxing in Thailand

How come you're not golfing on weekends? Wasn't that your thing? Is there nothing else you enjoy doing? What about classes to get out and socialize and meet new people? Ballroom/latin dance classes. Cooking classes. Hardware stores prob have classes for things. Learn how to fix or make things. Wood working? I know a lot of people are against Crossfit but it's definitely a very social thing. Just be careful to not get injured.

I agree with this. I think OP would probably make a great dad seeing how he's smart and could probably invest all this energy he's wasting on work into his children.

You gotta be really careful picking a woman though, it can either make or break or life. I've seen both happen.

There are probably a ton of women out there that would happily date him. He seems like a nice guy, he has a good job, and I'm not aware of him having any vices. He's honestly a great catch. Meeting them is a different matter though.

Getting back to this thread after misc outages and, well, work. I stayed till 10PM Thursday night and 9PM Friday night.

As far as family… the catch is that I've got cerebral palsy. It's why I don't lift (starting at 60yo man lifts in your 20s is demotivating as fukk) and it's why I play ghey sports like golf and kickball where athleticism is optional. I'm lucky that it only fukks me up that much, and I really don't want to have risk having a kid that's fukked up even more.

I got some Hinge matches with 30yo women who wanted kids ASAP, and one date was a phuckin surgeon who'd instantly go into the wife material bucket just based on income alone. But I didn't pursue chit with any of them, cause I don't want kids. I did some dating app searches for a couple months filtering only for girls that don't want kids, but got crickets. Looks like my appeal is as a betabux provider, which isn't a surprise.

With that kids door closed though, I don't know what the fukk to do except fill that time with more work. Hobbies and chit are just timekills. Normally I golfcel on the weekends, but I haven't played in a month because of sciatica, and I really haven't missed it.

Damn, I didn't know that You should have said so before we started giving you chit for not lifting. but really lifting and athletic stuff was just an option to get out there and give you something to do outside of work. You shouldn't look at hobbies as "timekills" they should be something you genuinely enjoy doing. It could be anything at all, and it would be a better use of your time than going into work on your days off. You're either overthinking your options, or you are not being open enough about them. You could do something artistic (painting, photography, writing, music, etc.) or just be an avid hiker/go on nature walks or something. You could geek out and join some board game thing if you have one nearby. I'd even venture onto MeetUp if I was in your shoes and looking for something else to do.

Either that or you're looking at your options through the lens of "will there be girls there?" which that kind of stuff should be secondary as you can really meet women most anywhere. Your goal should be to just get out there more at this point, with low or no expectations.

It really just blows my mind we have to teach people – A LOT of people in this day and age – how to live outside of work, how to have some meaning in your life that isn't tied to an occupation.

Miscers really need to get off that just-start-a-business-bro train.

For most people, the easiest path towards wealth is actually just being a 9-5 wagecuck, the trick is to hop from company to company and increase your salary every 2 years.

You want to start a business? Okay:

1) What's the business?
2) How will you attract clients/customers?
3) How easily and quickly can you collect?

If you can't answer these 3 basic questions with ease then that means you need to stay the hell away from business.

If you're a single man there is absolutely no excuse for you to not hop from company to company, region to region every 2 years.
Everything I post is satire.

You can adopt, find a woman who doesn't want kids, or have genetic testing done to see if your kid will have the disease.

get a hobby that entails something physical like martial arts

don't cheap out and get a good instructor for some one on one to get started imo

than maybe go to classes and meet some friends and like minded people

a physical hobby that you enjoy will lead to good habits outside of the hobby because if you overeat and feel like a fat slob it will hinder your performance
